DSPR12 SEM1 Week 3 Posting: Positive/Negative Space

In this exercise, we were asked to manipulate graphic space effectively for balance of positive and negative spaces using one of our initials in 10 different outcomes. The aim was to make the negative shapes so powerful that they became positive.

I had "t" and "m" to choose from.

The limitations were:
  • use black and white only
  • we could change the case of the font but not the typeface
  • we could vary the format of the page from portrait to landscape
  • no letter was to be made less than 50% of its original size set in the first initial
  • the same letter had to be used in all 10 outcomes
  • the letter must be legible.
At the end, I wished my name was Susan or Belinda!
